Skyjet 125
I’ve had my Skyjet now for about three months, and I’ve got to say she has been incredibly reliable. I’ve done a little over 1300 miles, I paid £550 in January and she had only done 296 miles. She was two years old at the time (a 2012 model) but was only registered in 2013, so doesn’t need an MOT for another two years. When I brought her I paid my local garage £35 to check her over and they noted there were a couple of problems, Broken rear number plate, one rear indicator not working, and a loose chain, which they lubed and adjusted for me. Since then I’ve done one oil change, (doing the next one next week) replaced the rear indicators with LED ones, and replaced the rear number plate. I’ve used chain wax every couple of weeks and it seems to have done the job well. I’ve broken down once, and I believe that was due to water in the cut out switch as when the bike dried out it started up absolutely fine. I’ve got her booked for a valve clearance check this weekend and the rear calliper is vibrating a little on the slide pins so they are checking that out too. invested in my first set of summer gloves yesterday, (Nitro NG61) my local bike garage (Bowen Moto, Chatham) were selling them at half price, (Reduced to £15) i’ll do a review over the next couple of weeks (weather dependant).
